Hovercraft Rescues 3 On Sauk River

DARRINGTON, Wash. -- Three people were rescued after their raft capsized on the
Sauk River near the town of Darrington Monday afternoon, reported KIRO 7
Eyewitness News.
A man, woman and teenage girl were able to make their way out of the water and
to the bank of the east side of the river where they waited for rescuers.
The road on that side of the river was washed out. Firefighters from Arlington
Heights used a hovercraft to retrieve the three.
The victims were transported to Cascade Hospital in Arlington. They are all
expected to be OK.
