Service Bulletin: Reverse thrust bucket actuators

We have discovered a few cases of reverse bucket actuator failure after some months of service. The average time to fault appears to be approximately 18 months and 50 hours of service. Intensive research has revealed that the issue is caused by ingestion of water and fine particulate matter into the actuator via the push rod seal. These ingestions could be especially damaging to hovercraft operating in salt water. We ask you to report to us any experiences of actuator misbehavior such as uncommanded deployment, rough or noisy operation, judder on deployment, clutch or push rod seizure and we will reply immediately with instructions for remedial actions.
